The Well Guesthouse - Hotels in Marlborough

The Well guesthouse is named after the original well set in the restaurant floor, covered by bulletproof glass. Guests can stand on the glass and look down the 30-metre shaft of this original feature. The building was originally established in 1658 as a traditional coaching inn on the Ridgeway path, Europe's oldest highway.

Dinner is served at 19.00 with a choice of 3 main courses from £18.00, along with drinks including soft, beer, and wine. Sweets and desserts are available at £8.00. Packed lunches can be ordered on arrival at £8.00, and an exceptional breakfast is included.

All accommodation is purpose-built, en suite, and housed in a quiet annex separate from the main inn. The ground floor offers 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms which are pet friendly. Upstairs rooms are pet free, and all rooms have tea/coffee makers.

The inn is situated on the Ridgeway path, Europe's oldest highway, and just off the A346. It is only 5 minutes from junction 15 of the M4 motorway, providing easy access to the region. The location is in the midst of the rolling Marlborough Downs with great access to the major road network.
